Eligibility Criteria for Studying in Germany

Academic Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Programs: Completion of secondary education equivalent to the German Abitur with good grades. For some programs, especially in fields like engineering and natural sciences, specific subject requirements may apply.
  • Postgraduate Programs: A recognized undergraduate degree with a satisfactory GPA. Some programs may require work experience or a specific undergraduate major.

Language Proficiency:

  • German: For programs taught in German, proficiency in German (DSH or TestDaF) is required.
  • English: For programs taught in English, IELTS (usually 6.5 or higher), TOEFL (79-90 or higher), or other accepted tests.

Financial Proof:

Proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses, typically required for visa application (currently around €10,332 per year).

Visa Requirements:

Non-EU/EEA students need to apply for a student visa after receiving an acceptance letter from a German institution.
